Quieter engines, quieter skies.
Assisting the aviation industry with innovative noise reduction technology – fostering quieter skies for communities worldwide
Noise pollution from aircraft is all around us, and with the number of Regional and Urban Air Mobility vehicles expected to increase in the coming years, the negative impact on our environment, especially in cities and urban environments, is set to get worse. The need for quieter engines is vital.
In ducted fan engines, noise is caused by the interaction of turbulent air from the fan with static Outlet Guide Vanes (OGVs) and Stators in the air bypass duct. Our technology involves porous channels behind the OGV leading edge to significantly reduce broadband noise.

Patented Noise Prevention at Source (NPaS) Technology
Objective – Noise Reduction for Communities Worldwide
Core Technology: The core technology is a porous area in the first portion of the aerofoil in the chordwise direction behind the outer leading edge of OGVs, designed to reduce broadband noise.
Key Features: The technology offers the potential for significant noise reduction without compromising aerodynamic performance, available space in the bypass duct or weight.
Our patented technology, NPaS, provides a solution. By placing porous channels through the vanes, we can reduce pressure fluctuations and associated noise by as much as 7dB in the frequency range to which the human ear is most susceptible.
Leverage our unique NPaS technology to achieve substantial noise reduction, ensuring compliance with noise regulations in urban environments.
“Oscar’s patented technology is at the leading edge of academic and industrial research into the mechanisms by which noise is generated from the interaction of high-speed air flows and OGVs/Stators.”
